Awakening to the Prophetic Call
With Pir Zia Inayat-Khan
Friday, June 4, 2010

Light on the Hill, Van Etten, New York (near Ithaca)
If religion is a body, prophecy is its beating heart. The message of the prophets is at once a warning and a blessing, a call for the creation of a better world and a revelation of the perfection that already indwells in the human soul. Heard as a single sacred symphony, the voices of the prophets carry a message that leads not to the past but to an as yet unrealized future, a visionary rendezvous beyond the morass of materialism, fundamentalism, ecocide and war.
