Winsome Brown is a writer, director, and Obie-award winning performer. Most recently she performed in Jay Scheib's "World of Wires" in Paris and other cities. In 2013 she will return to France to perform in Irina Brook's “La Vie Matérielle.” Other recent work includes André Gregory and Wallace Shawn’s “The Master Builder" (New York) and the film "The House at Lovestrand" directed by Jonathan Demme. Winsome's first film as director, “The Violinist” (2011, 44 min), is a 16 mm experimental narrative film which she also wrote.

Most notable of her numerous film, stage and TV credits is her performance in Heather Woodbury's play "Tale of 2Cities: An American Joyride on Multiple Tracks" (2007) for which she earned an Obie. Brown's series of one-woman shows, “Fits & Starts” played in New York, Los Angeles, and Hyderabad, India. Her writing has been published in Elle India, The Outrider (Toronto),, Boiler Magazine, City Magazine, and more. She is a founding member of the international theatre ensemble Hopballehus.

Brown received her A.B. from Harvard College and has studied acting and voice with Shakespeare & Company, Roberta Carreri and Tage Larsen, Jean-Réné Toussaint, The Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards, Norman Taylor of Ecole Jacques Lecoq, Jane Nichols, and more. Upcoming projects include collaborations with Du Yun and Paul Warner; Vernice Miller/ A Laboratory for Actor Training, E.T.C.; and additional work with Compagnie Irina Brook.

Yuval Ron Ensemble: Award winning Israeli composer, world music artist, educator and peace activist Yuval Ron comes together with Qawwali master Sukhawat Ali Khan of Pakistan to perform the ecstatic music of the mystical Sufi traditions, and the sacred music of the Iraqi and Yemenite jews, and the Hassidic Jewish tradition. Sukhawat Ali Khan is a master Qawwali singer who represents the family lineage of the 600 year old Sham Chorasi traditional school of music, which was established during the reign of Emperor Akbar of India. 

Among Yuval Ron's many honors, he was invited to perform for the Dalai Lama, won an Oscar for West Bank Story, and received the Los Angeles Treasures Award in 2004. He is the recipient of prestigious grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, American Composers Forum, California Council for the Humanities, and the Rockefeller Foundation. His musical ensemble has been featured on CNN, National Geographic, and in the international press and media. Bisan Toron is an experimental world music vocalist and voice teacher. Born in Syria and raised in Paris and New York, Bisan studied classical voice performance at NYU and holds masters in Ethnomusicology from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies. She also did further studies in voice and improvisation with the Roy Hart-based company, Pantheatre in France.
Her compositions are informed by a multitude of cultures and vocal traditions, which she threads with vocal articulations that arise from the moment. Her debut CD, entitled Backstage Reveries, Voice Sketches by Bisan Toron, was released in 2008.
Bisan has taught voice independently in Paris and New York, and was voice professor at ESADIB, National College of Dramatic Arts in Mallorca, Spain from 2008-2010.  She currently resides in New York.
