Seven Pillars Inauguration
The Cry of Our Time & Humanity’s Response
Labor Day Weekend 2008, Friday, August 29-September 1
The Darrow School, New Lebanon, New York
All are invited for Seven Pillars’ inaugural weekend, where we will gather to explore the Cry of Our Time and Humanity’s Response. We will search for new ways forward toward the emerging planetary paradigm—a paradigm that reflects beauty, unity, truth and a higher ideal for ourselves and the world community.
Seven Pillars’ inaugural weekend will gather scholars, faith-leaders, artists, business people, philosophers, media representatives and friends from a variety of disciplines to explore themes relevant to a heartful approach to life and our common human experience. Our intention is to create a non-hierarchical program, one involving all participants in deep dialogue, shared reflection, and various forms of artistic expression.
We will emphasize the wisdom of the collective, of the past and the future, visit Seven Pillars’ core themes of Cosmology, Prophetology, Mysticism and Chivalry, and begin to articulate a personal and collective response to today’s global condition. The hope is to forge new connections and create fertile ground for new ideas to emerge.
All of this will take place at The Darrow School in New Lebanon, New York, where we will be nourished by beautiful surroundings and excellent organic, locally grown meals.
Housing will be provided at several locations including the Darrow School, the Abode of the Message, and several local bed and breakfasts. As you register, we will do our best to accommodate your housing needs. Additional information on the program, registration, housing, transportation, and attendees is provided on the adjacent web pages.
Also please note that there will be a special preconference workshop August 28th and 29th on Alchemy & the Physics of Life with practicing alchemist Kevin Townley, and special guest Peter Lamborn Wilson. Information on this event can be found on the Alchemy Workshop page.
We very much look forward to gathering with you over Labor Day weekend, to meaningfully and joyfully introduce our new initiative, Seven Pillars, to you and our other good friends. See you on Labor Day!
Space is truly limited, so please register by Friday, June 27th, to assure your participation in this special gathering.
