Patrick Harpur

Patrick Harpur published two novels, The Serpent's Circle and The Rapture, before embarking on a long study of the Western esoteric tradition which found expression in his alchemical romance Mercurius; or, the Marriage of Heaven and Earth; in his study of visions and apparitions, Daimonic Reality: A Field Guide to the Otherworld; and in his history of the Imagination, The Philosophers' Secret Fire.
